COVID-19 Update

As of June 30, 2020, Crane has five new positive cases that are not related to the Focus Care Center. All of these people have been quarantined. To keep this virus contained, we are going to have to maintain social distancing. If you are having any of the symptoms, PLEASE take every precaution and get tested. Once tested, STAY HOME until your result are back.

Everyone, PLEASE KEEP PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING. STAY SAFE.

NOTICE TO PERSON WHO OWNS OR CONTROLS PROPERTY

QUARANTINE OF PROPERTY

            WHEREAS, Section 81.804 of the Texas Health and Safety Code empowers a health authority to order the implementation of control measures, including quarantine, disinfection, and decontamination of property, to prevent the introduction, transmission, and spread of communicable disease; and

           

            WHEREAS, based on information available, the County of Crane Health Authority (the “Health Authority”) has determined that each person or entity to whom this notice has been provided is the owner, person in control, registered agent for the corporate owner, and/or the registered agent for the, corporate person in control of the following property; Focused Care at Crane, 699 W. Campus Dr. Crane County, Texas (the “Property”); and

            WHEREAS, for purpose of this notice, “you” means each owner, person in control, registered agent for the corporate owner, and/or registered agent for the corporate person in control of the property; and

            WHEREAS, Coronavirus Disease 2019, commonly known as COVID-19, is a communicable disease; and

            WHEREAS, the Health Authority has reasonable cause to believe the Property is or may be infected or contaminated with said communicable disease, requiring a quarantine;

            NOW, THEREFORE, under the authority of Section 81.084 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, the County of Crane Health Authority hereby ORDERS a quarantine of the Property as follows:

1.         The property is hereby placed in quarantine for the period of time necessary for a medical examination or technical analysis of samples taken from the property to determine if the property is infected or contaminated. The examination or analysis will be performed by or under the direction of the Health Authority. The Department of State Health Services may also be involved in the examination or analysis. You are not required to perform the examination or analysis. You will not be required to pay for the examination or analysis.

2.         During the quarantine period, NO PERSON SHALL ENTER OR LEAVE THE PROPERTY WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY, COUNTY JUDGE AND/OR THE COUNTY SHERIFF. NO PERSON SHALL ENTER THE FACILITY WITHOUT FULL PPE PROTECTION.

3.         This notice shall be posted on the Property land and at a place convenient to the public in the courthouse for Crane County, Texas.

4.         You must cooperate in allowing this notice to be posted on the Property land and in allowing the quarantine control measures to be put into effect. If the Property is found not to be infected or contaminated, the quarantine period shall end, and control of the Property will be returned to you. If you the Property is found to be infected or contaminated, further action will be ordered.

5.         There are penalties for noncompliance with this notice.

            IT IS A CRIME TO KNOWINGLY REFUSE TO PERFORM REFUSE TO ALLOW THE PERFORMANCE OF CONTROL MEASURES ON PROPERTY AS ORDERED BY THE HEALTH AUTHORITY OR THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES.

            IT IS A CRIME TO KNOWINGLY CONCEAL AN INFECTED OBJECT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF AN INVESTIGATION BY THE HEALTH AUTHORITY OR THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES.

            THESE CRIMES ARE CLASS B MISDEMEANORS AND COULD RESULT IN UP TO 180 DAYS IN JAIL AND/OR A FINE OF UP TO $2,000. VIOLATORS ARE SUBJECT TO ARREST AND PROSECUTION AND/OR CIVIL SUIT.
